My heart breaks for so many during this time of the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic. I know that God can see the big picture and that He is with us through this entire difficult situation. I am trying to focus on the positives—families spending quality time together playing games and going outside, children getting one-on-one attention and instruction, pollution decreasing, college kids home, and people joining each other to help their neighbors, the high-risk, and the elderly. However, the huge number of people negatively impacted, along with those who are making sacrifices, also daily fill my thoughts—the sick who are suffering and in quarantine all alone, the senior citizens who have to stay indoors without visitors, the families of those who have not survived, the countless who have lost jobs and can't pay bills, worried children, industries who will suffer financially, people who have weddings or other milestone events planned, college students forced from their dorms, first responders, medical workers, grocery store workers, the leaders of countries throughout the world...the list could go on. I keep praying for them all! Because I know the joys my own kids experienced the last few months of their senior years, that is another age and stage I'm feeling compassion for. Join me in prayer for these resilient young adults from the class of 2020.
I sought the Lord, and He answered me
and delivered me from all my fears.
